Harry Jackson of Carlyle died Wednesday evening, November 16, 2011 at the age of 59 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Breese, Illinois on June 6, 1952 the son of Allen and Kathryn (Roberg) Jackson.
On October 28, 1978 at St. Teresa Church in Marydale he married Tess Henrichs and she survives along with two sons: Josh Jackson and special friend Allison of Cobden and Casey Jackson and wife Kelly of Aviston; his mother: Kathryn Jackson of Carlyle; a granddaughter: Livy Jackson of Aviston; three sisters: Janet Venhaus and husband Marvin of Breese, Mary Hoffman of Winter Springs, Florida and Jo Ann Smith and husband Chuck of Centralia. Harry is also survived by his mother-in-law: Mandy Henrichs; and sisters and brothers-in-law: Bob and Nancy Henrichs, Barb and Larry Schmitz, Karen and Carl Rolfingsmeier, Jerry and Sharon Henrichs and Carl and Mona Henrichs; and many nieces and nephews.
Harry was preceded in death by his father: Allen Jackson; brother-in-law: Hallie Barnes; and father-in-law: Cornelius Henrichs.
Harry was employed by Bollmeier Construction in Marissa for 32 years. He was serving as a Trustee for the Carlyle Fire Protection District and a member of the Carlyle Knights of Columbus Council #1382. He had served as a volunteer fireman with the Carlyle Fire Department. He enjoyed golfing, listening to music and being with his family and friends.
Friends may visit with the Jackson family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Saturday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be private.
In keeping with Harry’s wishes, cremation services were performed.
The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary Saturday evening at 7:30pm at St. Mary Church in Carlyle. The Carlyle Fire Dept. will conduct a walk through at 7:30pm at the funeral home.

Should friends wish to honor Harry memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
