Adolph "Buck" Hegger, 76, of Albers, Ill., died Sunday, October 23, 2005 at Countryside Manor in Aviston, Ill. He was born on January 17, 1929 in St. Louis, MO, son of George and Caroline (Stockmann) Hegger. Following the death of his mother, his mother’s sister and her husband, Anna & Frank Eilering raised him. He married Irene A. Deimeke on May 20, 1958 in Albers and she survives in Albers. In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons, Mark Hegger and wife Ruth, Tim Hegger and Carolyn Masterson, and Alan Hegger all of Albers; two daughters, Bonnie Deimeke of Trenton and Lisa Hegger and Greg Martindale of Mascoutah; six grandchildren, Joseph Deimeke, Daniel Deimeke, Mark Deimeke, Melissa Ottenschnieder and husband Brian, Amy Hegger and Jacqueline Hegger; one great-grandchild, Koen Ottenschnieder; two brothers, Erwin Hegger and wife Kathryn of Barnhardt, MO and Vincent Eilering of Albers; and brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Mary Eilering, Albert "Shorty" Deimeke and Rose Ann Deimeke, all of Albers and Sister Rita Maureen Deimeke, SSND of St. Louis, MO. He was preceded in death by his parents and his adoptive parents; two brothers, Benedict "Dix" Eilering and Virgil Eilering; a sister, Bernice Book; his father-in-law & mother-in-law, Alois & Sophia (Schulte) Deimeke, brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Ferd Book, Vincent Deimeke, Paul Deimeke, Leona Eilering, and Betty Eilering; and a son-in-law, Bernard Deimeke, Jr. Mr. Hegger was owner and operator of Buck’s Music in Albers until his retirement. He was U. S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Bernard Parish & Men’s Sodality, Knights of Columbus Council 9768, 3rd degree, American Legion Post 1026 and the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed his family, shooting pool, camping and fishing and was a loyal Cardinal fan. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at St. Bernard Church in Albers, with the Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at the Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. The Knights of Columbus will recite the rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Bernard Church in Albers. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
