Emelia P. Heimann, 90, of Belleville, Ill., formerly of Germantown, Ill. died Saturday, August 20, 2005 at Swansea Care Center in Swansea, Ill. Mrs. Heimann was born on August 31, 1914 in Aviston, Ill., daughter of Bernard and Mary (Neff) Spihlmann. She married George Heimann on September 13, 1933 in Damiansville, Ill. and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1938. She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Randant of Belleville, Ill.; six grandchildren, Roxanne Walsh and husband Tom, Kevin Randant, Renee Sarff and husband Joseph, Dale Randant and wife Donna, Allan Shea and wife Wanda and Amy Shea; seven great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren; one brother, Bernard Spihlmann and wife Marie of Germantown, Ill.; three sisters, Marie Albers of Breese, Ill., Henrietta Albers and husband Alvin “Abbie” of Germantown, Ill. and Dorothy Wiemann of Maryville, Ill.; two step-brothers, Walter Thoele of New Baden, Ill. and Edward Thoele and wife Jane of Germantown, Ill.; two step- sisters, Mary Ann Heimann and husband Arnie and Bernice Kniepman and husband Cornelius, all of Germantown, Ill.; son-in-law, William Shea of Belleville, Ill.; two sisters-in-law, Ann Spihlmann of Damiansville, Ill. and Rose Spihlmann of Damiansville, Ill.; a granddaughter-in-law, Lynn Randant; and numerous nephews, nieces and cousins. In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Maurice Heimann; a daughter, Jeanette Shea; a grandson, Bryan Randant; a son-in-law, Rolland Randant; four brothers, Raymond Spihlmann, Richard Spihlmann, Leo Spihlmann and Clarence Spihlmann; brothers-in-law, Norbert Albers and James Wiemann; sister-in-law, Lou Spihlmann; step-brother Alvin Thoele, and two step-sisters-in-law, Ella Mae Thoele and Mary Ann Thoele. Mrs. Heimann was a retired cook at Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of St. Augustine Parish in Belleville, Ill. and a charter member of Germantown American Legion Auxiliary Post 325. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2005 at St. Damian’s Catholic Church in Damiansville, Ill. with Rev. Andrew Knopik officiating. Burial will follow in St. Damian’s Cemetery, Damiansville, Ill. Friends may call from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Monday, August 22 and from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, Ill.
