Marcel A. Heimann, 66, of Aviston, Ill. died Saturday, October 29, 2005 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville, Ill. He was born on February 24, 1939, in Damiansville, Ill., son of Ben and Anna (Rakers) Heimann. He married Lou Albers Loepker on September 19, 1997 in Townsend, TN and she survives in Aviston. In addition to his wife, Mr. Heimann is survived by a daughter, Dawn Neumann and husband Darrell of Aviston, a son, Dean Heimann and wife Melisa of Camp Point, Ill.; his step children, Lisa Kampwerth and husband David , Laurie Voss and husband Karl, all of Breese, Ill., and Brad Loepker of Elkhart, Ind.; three grandchildren, Ian Heimann, Caitlin Heimann and Taylor Heimann; four step-grandchildren, Amanda Kampwerth, Alex Kampwerth, Lauren Voss and Taylor Voss; two brothers, Bernard Heimann and wife Marilyn of Damiansville, Ill., and Bob Heimann and wife Judy of Albers, Ill; a sister, Ruth Koerkenmeier and husband Bob of St. Rose, Ill.; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mildred Renschen of Germantown, Ill., Eugene Albers of Breese, Ill., Dolores Peek of Aviston, Ill., and Norbert & Ruthann Albers of Beckemeyer, Ill. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Darin Heimann; a brother, Edward Heimann and his wife Genevieve, a sister, Loretta Middendorff and her husband Herb; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, John & Josephine Albers; brothers-in-law, August Renschen, Paul Peek and Ray Albers; and a sister-in-law, Esther Albers. Mr. Heimann was a member of St. Francis Parish and the Clinton County Farm Bureau. He enjoyed woodworking, watching his grandchildren, fishing and sports. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Southern Illinois University Carbondale. He was self employed as a dairy nutritionist in Central and Southern Illinois. He was formerly a teacher at Tetopolis and also formerly worked at AO Smith Harvestore. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2005 at St. Francis Church in Aviston, Ill with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday at Hempen Funeral Home in Aviston. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Mr. Heimann’s grandchildren’s education fund, the American Heart Association or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
