Helen Crocker of Carlyle died on Saturday, October 12, 2013 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 93 years. Helen was born in Carlyle on June 26, 1920, the daughter of Michael and Anna (Luepke) Mueller. On July 31, 1943 in Carlyle Helen married Bennet Crocker, and he preceded her in death on May 9, 1987.
Helen is survived by her sons: Richard "Dick" Crocker and wife Carolyn of Carlyle and James "Jim" Crocker and special friend Joyce Berg of Brooklyn Center, MN; and grandchildren: Todd, Travis, Scott, Tim, Jimmy and Tommy Crocker; and great grandchildren: Cole, Logan, Cortney, Chelsea, Rylee, Alexa, Katie, Zack, Lucy and Max Crocker
Mrs. Crocker was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sibling: Richard Mueller, Walter Mueller, Catherine Spittler, Mary Ann Mueller and Bernice Sprehe; a daughter-in-law: Mary Crocker; and a grandson: Troy Crocker.
Helen was a member of St. Mary Church in Carlyle and the Carlyle V. F. W. Post #3523 Auxiliary.
Funeral services for Mrs. Crocker will be Wednesday, October 16, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Fr. Chuck Tuttle and Fr. George Mauck officiating. The interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the Crocker family on Tuesday at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle from 4 to 8:00 PM or on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.
For those that wish to leave a memorial, the family suggests Mater Dei High School or to the Carlyle Healthcare Activity Department and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
