Helen Marie (Siever) Fee, age 91, of Oswego, IL, formerly of Carlyle & LaGrange, IL, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 at Autumn Leaves Memory Care in Oswego. She was born in Carlyle, IL on March 4, 1928, the daughter of Julius and Mildred (Conwell) Siever. She married Richard ("Dick") Fee on December 23, 1951 and he preceded her in death on March 31, 2016.
Helen is survived by her children: Marsha (Mark) Thom of Aurora, IL; Julie (Lawrence "Chip") Pridmore of Evergreen, CO; David N. Fee of Lenexa, KS; Grandchildren, Sarah Thom, Jacob Fee, Lawrence (Tiffany) Pridmore, Frank (Katie) Thom, Camille (Dan) Lawonn, and Ryan Fee; Great grandchildren include: Jack, Selby, Eisley, Henry, Rosie, Law, Margot and Franny; Sisters-in-law: Lelah Siever, Irene Fee and Eleanor Fee, as well as many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Virginia Siever and brother Bill Siever.
Helen was a wonderful wife and mother. She sold Avon products, then returned to the workforce as a Receptionist/Secretary for two manufacturing companies in the LaGrange, IL area. She taught children's Sunday school, led Women's Bible Studies, and volunteered at church in various capacities.
Helen enjoyed entertaining and keeping in touch with friends. During retirement, she bowled, walked and continued volunteering at church. She and Dick camped when he was in canoe races throughout the state and country, line danced for many years and golfed together.
The family would like to thank Angel's Grace Hospice for comfort and care these many months. And thank you to Autumn Leaves Alzheimer's and Memory Care in Oswego for watching over her for over 5 years.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, November 24, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, November 25, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle with Pastor Steve Barrett officiating. Interment will follow at Carlyle Township Cemetery.
Memorials in memory of Helen may be at the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle or the charity of donor’s choice and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
