Agnes C. Hermeling, 78, of Germantown, died Tuesday, December 29, 2009 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born September 15, 1931 in Centralia, daughter of John C. and Clara T. (Brueggemann) Winkler. She married George Hermeling on April 21, 1953 in Germantown and he preceded her in death on August 5, 1960. She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane (Mark) Schrage of St. Rose and Barb (Joe) Eilers of Breese; 11 grandchildren, Kevin (fiancée, Tara) Haar, Becky (Jim) Choat, Sheila (Brian) Heimann, Stacy (fiancé, Dave) Haar, Josh (Teresa) Haar, Colby (Sara) Haar, Jennifer (Chad) Kahrhoff, Nicole Schroeder, Michelle Hetzel, Sarah (fiancé, Brandon) Eilers, and Jacob Eilers; 14 great-grandchildren, Kevin Haar II, Ashley Haar, Morgan Choat, Kelsey Heimann, Brock Heimann, Abigail Heimann, Caitlin Asbury, Alyssa Asbury, Trevor Asbury, Diesel Haar, Macy Haar, Cole Kahrhoff, Allyson Kahrhoff, and Hailey Weathers; a special friend, Paul Jansen of Germantown; a brother, Joe Winkler of Germantown; and a son-in-law, Jim Haar of Germantown. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter, Gerri Haar; a brother, John J. “Johnny Winkler; a sister, Mary C. Eversgerd; a brother-in-law, Bernard B. Eversgerd; and a sister-in-law, Helen Winkler. Mrs. Hermeling previously worked for Brueggemann Draperies in Bartelso. She was also a farmer and a homemaker and her hobby was gardening. She was a member of St.Boniface Parish in Germantown. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Germantown with Msgr. Jim Buerster and Deacon Rich Bagby officiating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Cemetery in Germantown. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, January 1, 2010 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2010 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospital in Breese and will be received at the funeral home.
