Hetzel, Lulu Maxine

Lulu Maxine “GiGi” Hetzel, 93, of Centralia, WA. and formerly of Breese, IL, died Sunday, September 29, 2013 in Centralia, WA. She was born January 19, 1920 in Edgewood, IL, daughter of Charles and Vona (Rose) Hockman. She married Walter Joseph “Boop” Hetzel April 15, 1941 in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death December 12, 1986. She is survived by a son, Terry (Debi) Hetzel of Centralia, WA.; two granddaughters, Heather (Josh) Lewis and Amanda (Sean Gotcher) Milledge; four great-grandchildren, Jayden and Kouri Lewis, Joseph B.R. Milledge, Jr., and Addison Gotcher; and too many nieces, nephews, and cousins to name. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Dennis P. “Denny” Hetzel; and a grandson-in-law, Sgt. Joseph "Brad" Milledge, Sr. Mrs. Hetzel was a Wal-Mart greeter. She was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Allan Mason officiating. Burial will follow at St. John Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 12 noon until 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to Hannah’s Playground and will be received at the funeral home.
