Heyde, Dorothea

Dorothea M. Heyde, 84, of Belleville, died Saturday, August 19, 2006, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. She was born May 28, 1922 in O’Fallon, IL, daughter of Ralph H. and Sadie (Conklin) Rogers. She married Albert C. "Buddy" Heyde on March 30, 1970 in St. Charles, MO and he preceded her in death on March 23, 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Beverly Girard and husband Lenard of Belleville; two grandchildren, Michael Henige of St. Louis, MO, who was raised by Dorothea and Stacy Schoemaker and husband Don of Shiloh; a great grandson, Samuel Schoemaker; and two sisters, Lois Rongey of Fairview Heights and Beverly Athmer and husband Terry of Belleville. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Jimmie Henige; two brothers, John Rogers and Ralph "Curley" Rogers; and two sisters, Margaret Geller and Ethel Knerrer. Mrs. Heyde was a homemaker. There will be no visitation and funeral services will be private. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home, New Baden, who is in charge of arrangements.
