Holtgrave, Annabelle

Annabelle F. Holtgrave, 88, of Breese, died Friday, October 19, 2012 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born April 14, 1924 in Wheatfield Twp (Carlyle), IL, daughter of Roy and Kate Louise (Hetzel) Childerson. She married Henry Voland and he preceded her in death. She then married Charles Holtgrave and he also preceded her in death. She is survived by three step-children, Kenneth (Marsha) Holtgrave of Highland, Patti Nichols of Maryville, and Cindy (Randy) Higgins of Highland; five step-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Marcella Weiss of Highland. In addition to her parents and her husbands, she was preceded in death by a son, James E. Voland. Mrs. Holtgrave was retired from Arrow Group Industries in Breese. All services are private. Memorials may be made to the Breese Caring First Nursing Home activity fund or Heartland Hospice and will be received at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese who is in charge of arrangements.
