Loretta Mae Hubert, 88, of New Baden, died Saturday, March 3, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born October 20, 1923 in St. Louis, MO, daughter of Harry F. and Margaret (Kessen) Schuler. She married Charles A. “Charlie” Hubert on February 1, 1947 in St. Louis, MO and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2010. She is survived by a son, Chuck (Cindy) Hubert of Albers, and a daughter, Peggie (Chuck) Morris of New Baden; five grandchildren, Brian (Tricia) Hubert, Michael Hubert, Justin (special friend, Ashley) Hubert, Nathan Morris and Jessica Morris; two step-grandchildren, J.D. (Jen) Morris and Kristin Morris; great- grandchildren, Kellan Hubert and Jaxon Hubert; step great- grandchildren, Tyler, Teagan, Cameron, Joey, Harley, and Madison; she is also survived by many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by four sisters, Marge Gleba, Ricky Molitor, Ginny Reckamp, and Rose Heidbrink; brothers-in-law and sister-in-law, Fritz Gleba, Al Molitor, Ray Reckamp, Ervin Heidbrink, and Barney and Ella Hubert. Mrs. Hubert was a homemaker. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden and a former member of the New Baden Senior Citizens. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, 2012 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. There will be a prayer service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
