Agnes A. Huegen, 80, of Albers, IL, died Saturday, May 19, 2007, at Highland Health Care Center. She was born on September 12, 1926, in St. Rose, IL, daughter of Joseph & Elizabeth (VonderHaar) Jansen. She married Lewis W. “Lukes” Huegen on September 16, 1947 in Albers, IL and he preceded her in death on February 28, 2003. She is survived by nine children, Jeanette E. Strubhart and husband Norm of Aviston, IL, Audrey S. Davis of Beckemeyer, IL, Steven D. Huegen and wife Ellen of Bartelso, IL, Les G. Huegen and wife Jackie of Sandoval, IL, Phyllis G. Schomaker and husband Ray of Carlyle, IL, Marcia L. Wehring and husband Randy of Collinsville, IL, Bonnie J. Wellen and husband Dave of Albers, IL, Darrell T. Huegen and wife Sarah of Carlyle, IL and Denise A. Cunningham and husband Ed of Edwardsville, IL; 28 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren, step-grandchildren & step-great-grandchildren, a sister, Sister Agnesine Jansen, A.S.C. of Murphysboro, IL,a brother in law, Arnold Huegen, of Albers, IL; sister-in-law, Eleanor Huegen of Albers. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by, two grandchildren, Stanley Davis, and Leslie Huegen, one great-grandchild, Emma Davis, step great-grandchildren, a brother Clem Jansen, two sisters, Sister Mary DeSales A.S.C., and Dorothy Diekemper and brothers & sisters-in-law. She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish & Altar Sodality, Albers, IL A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2007 at St. Bernard Church, Albers, IL, with the Monsingor Donald Eichenseer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery, Albers, IL. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, May 21, 2007 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday at Hempen Funeral Home, Albers, IL. A rosary will be recited at 6 p.m. Monday at St. Bernard Church. Memorials may be made to Multiple Sclerosis Society, or National Down Syndrome Society or Alzheimer’s Association, or Heartland Hospice or to the American Cancer Society and will be received at the funeral home.
