Agnes C. Huels, 82, of Beaver Prairie, died Monday, July 14, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese. She was born June 30, 1926 in Albers, daughter of John and Mary (Wellinghoff) Kloeckner. She married Paul B. Huels June 15, 1948 in Albers and he preceded her in death on November 26, 2000. She is survived by her children, Alvin (Mary) Huels of Beaver Prairie, Carol Jean (Norman) Albers of Carlyle, Lester (Helen) Huels of Marydale, Maribeth (Tom) Detmer of Breese; 13 grandchildren, Gary (Trisha) Huels, Rhonda (Matt) Rainey, Joanie (Randy) Thole, Debbie (Robert) Fuhler, Rod Huels, Michele (Craig) Diekemper, Lisa (Jared) Voss, Dana (Todd) Fritz, Alan (Crystal) Albers, Gina (Chris) Martin, Kristen (special friend, Keith Varel) Detmer, Colin Detmer and Tyler Detmer; 18 great grandchildren, Madyson Diekemper, McKenzie Diekemper, Abigail Voss, Kylie Fritz, Adison Fritz, Carter Martin, Colton Martin, Taylor Huels, Kaylie Huels, Braden Huels, Lucas Rainey, Olivia Rainey, Landon Rainey, Zachary Thole, Austin Thole, Karli Thole, Ethan Fuhler and Madeline Fuhler; bothers & sisters, Vincent Kloeckner of St. Louis, Roman (Doris) Kloeckner of Albers, Marge Gamboa of Chicago, Ray (Joan) Kloeckner of Albers and Del (Gerry) Kloeckner of Albers; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Louis & Betty Huels of Carlyle, Catherine Von Hatten of Beckemeyer, Carl Huels of Bartelso, Olive Philomena "Dot" & Ed Becker of Frogtown, Matt & Rita Huels of Carlyle, & Ed "Joey" & Nancy Huels of Carlyle; she is also survived by numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, in infancy, Rodney & Jerry Huels; a grandson, Craig Allen Huels; two brothers, Bob Kloeckner & Edward Kloeckner; two sisters, Rosemarie "Toots" Loepker and Virginia Kloeckner; three brothers-in-law, Ed Gamboa, Paul Loepker and Adolph Von Hatten and three sisters-in-law, Kay Kloeckner, Sister Joette Huels, PHJC and Helen Huels; she was also preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul J. & Elizabeth (Hempen) Huels. Mrs. Huels was a homemaker, mom, grandma, great- grandma and friend to all. She was a member St. Felicitas Parish and Altar Sodality in Beaver Prairie and the Breese American Legion Post 252 Auxiliary. Her hobbies were quilting and baking. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie with Rev. Larry Nickels officiating. Interment will follow at St. Felicitas Cemetery in Beaver Prairie. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, July 17, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 18, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. The American Legion Auxiliary will visit at 7:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Felicitas Cemetery Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
