Craig Allen Huels, 32, of Beaver Prairie, IL, died Friday, July 11, 2008 at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese, IL. He was born March 31, 1976 in Breese, son of Alvin P. and Mary M. (Markus) Huels. He is survived by his parents of Beaver Prairie; 2 sisters, Michele (Craig) Diekemper of Beaver Prairie and Lisa (Jared) Voss of Carlyle; his nieces, Madyson & McKenzie Diekemper and Abigail Voss; his grandmother, Agnes C. Huels of Beaver Prairie; aunts & uncles, Carol Jean (Norman) Albers of Carlyle, Lester (Helen) Huels of Marydale, Maribeth (Tom) Detmer of Breese, Donald (Judy) Markus, Jerome (Cathy) Markus, Dennis (special friend, Karol George) Markus and Jim C. (Ruthie) Markus all of Aviston; he is also survived by numerous cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Paul B. Huels and his maternal grandparents, Rose & Hubert Markus. Mr. Huels was a farmer. He was a graduate of Mater Dei High School in Breese, class of 1994. He was a member of St. Felicitas Parish in Beaver Prairie and attended St. Theresa’s in Marydale. He enjoyed playing with his nieces. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at St. Felicitas Catholic Church in Beaver Prairie with Rev. Larry Nickels officiating. Burial will follow in St. Felicitas Cemetery in Beaver Prairie. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 13, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 14, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Felicitas Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
