Dorothy C. Hustedde, 83, of Albers, IL, died Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese IL. She was born on June 6, 1922 in Albers, daughter of Bernard J. & Josephine J. (Kalmer) Schleper. She married Leroy August Hustedde on April 30, 1947 in Albers and he preceded her in death on December 25, 1982. She is survived by five children, Marlene Luitjohan and husband Frank of Edwardsville, Janice Crow and husband Ed of Chester, Carol Rolves and husband Gerry of Quincy, David Hustedde and wife Kathy of Chester, and Geralyn Kruep and husband Glen of Highland; seventeen grandchildren, Dan Luitjohan and wife Julie, Jessica Luitjohan, Matthew Luitjohan and fiancée, Lacey, Rachel Luitjohan, Elizabeth Luitjohan, Joshua Luitjohan, Tim Crow, Shawn Crow, Erin Crow, Carrie Lavery and husband John, Jamie McDowell and husband Mark, Mike Rolves and wife Lisa, Sarah Rolves, Christine Valentine and husband Jody, Julie Morgan and husband Gary, Nathan Hustedde and Adam Hustedde and wife Christie; eight great-grandchildren, Ryan Luitjohan, Calvin Lavery, Charlie Lavery, Connor McDowell, Evan Rolves, Zachary Valentine, Aidan Valentine and Caitlyn Hustedde; one sister, Florence Zurliene of Albers; brothers-in-law and sisters,-in-law, Pauline and Stanley "Butch" Richter of Aviston, Paul and Shirley Hustedde of Trenton and JoAnn and Wilbert "Pete" Eversgerd of Breese. In addition to her husband and her parents she was preceded in death by two sisters, Agnes Linnemann and Alvina Dorries; father-in-law & mother-in-law, August & Margaret Hustedde; step father-in-law, Alphonse Hustedde; brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Lawrence Linnemann, Robert Dorries, Otto Zurliene, Raymond & Alvina Hustedde and Jerome Hustedde. Mrs. Hustedde was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Altar Sodality and the American Legion Post 1026 Auxiliary in Albers. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at St. Bernard Church, in Albers, with Msgr. Donald Eichenseer officiating. Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, December 12, 2005 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Monday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois and will be received at the funeral home.
