Hustedde, Josephine

Josephine C. Hustedde, 94, of Breese, died Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle. She was born July 6, 1916 in Breese, daughter of Henry and Elizabeth (Timmermann) Hustedde. She is survived by one brother, Joseph Hustedde and his wife Lucille of Breese. She is also survived by nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters and their spouses, Frank and Laura Hustedde, Edwin and Cecelia Hustedde, Gerhard and Alvina Hustedde, Mary and Edwin Hitpas, and Viola and Victor Becker. Josephine was a homemaker and also worked part time for REA in Breese. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish and Altar Sodality in Breese and the Daughters of Isabella Circle 718. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Rev. William Hitpas and Rev. Patrick Peter concelebrating. Burial will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 11, 2011 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2011 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. The Daughters of Isabella will pray the rosary at 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Dominic Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
