Dorothy E. Isert, 94, of Albers, died Tuesday, April 30, 2013 at Rosewood Care Center in Edwardsville. She was born May 18, 1918 in Albers, daughter of William and Cecilia (Haake) Huegen. She married Vincent L. Isert on April 10, 1951 in Albers and he preceded her in death on March 28, 1990. She is survived by her children, Yvonne (Steven) Clogston of Bloomington, Sheila (Jim) Rotter of Granite City, Cynthia (Mike) Fresta of St. Louis, MO., and Kevin Isert of St. Peters, MO; four grandchildren, Paul (Candice) Rotter & Jamie (fiancé, Tyler Wilke) Rotter and Zachary & Joshua Isert; one great-grandchild, Parker Rotter. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Santel; and a brother, Edwin Huegen. Mrs. Isert was owner/operator of Huegen Store in Albers. She was a member of St. Bernard Parish and Ladies Sodality. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Rev. Jack Joyce officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers. Friends may call from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Hempen Funeral Home in Albers. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or St. Bernard Parish or Clinton County Relay For Life and will be received at the funeral home
