Jackie Turner

Jackie D. Turner of Carlyle died Thursday June 10, 2010 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Belleville at the age of 74 years. She was born in Breese, Illinois on September 3, 1935 the daughter of Virgil 'Midge' and Emily (Meyer) Turner.Jackie is survived by her mother: Emily Turner of Carlyle; a daughter: Tina Stanfa of Hoyleton, Illinois; three sons: Rob Stanfa and wife Kathy of Puryear, Tennessee, Perry Stanfa and wife Nancy of Carlyle and Shawn Stanfa and wife Susan of Shattuc; a brother: Dean Turner of Maryville, Illinois; and four grandchildren: Lorne, Josh, Nicole and Katie Stanfa.Jackie was a member of St. Mary Church and was employed as an administrative assistant at the National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows in Belleville. She enjoyed being with her family and friends.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 19, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church in Carlyle with Father Allen Maes O.M.I. and Fr. George Mauck officiating. The interment will follow in Posey Cemetery, Posey, Illinois.Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Friday, June 18, 2010 from 4 to 8:00 P.M. or on Saturday from 8 to 9:30 A.M.The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Posey Cemetery and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
