Jakob, Kassy

Kassy Jakob, 60, of Albers, died Thursday, May 16, 2013 at her home. She was born March 2, 1953 in Belleville, daughter of Robert D. and Frances L. (Welch) Eller. She married Otto Jakob on July 18, 1971 in Belleville and he survives in Albers. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her mother, Frances Eller of Albers; two children, Robert (Nichole) Jakob of Jefferson City, MO, and Jodi L. Tow of Albers; five grandchildren, Andrew and Emma Tow, and Samuel, Elizabeth, and Sophia Jakob; a brother, Douglas (Connie) Eller of St. Louis, MO; and a cousin, Anna Rowden of RR Carlyle. She was preceded in death by her father. Mrs. Jakob was a teacher’s aide for Belleville East and West District 201 in Belleville. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasures. Special thanks to the angels of the hospice team and staff at Belleville East and West High School. All services are private.
