James G. “Jim” Buscher, 61, of Aviston, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, MO. He was born February 26, 1954 in Breese, the son of Raymond H. and Irene D. (Fuhler) Buscher.
Jim is survived by two brothers, Michael (Marilyn) Buscher of Aviston and David Buscher of Germantown; aunts and uncle, Edna Markus, Bernice “Becy” Foppe, and Donald & Jane Fuhler; niece and nephews, Gina (Bart) Blean of Dubuque, IA, Eric Buscher of St. Louis, MO, and Byron Buscher of Breese; and great nieces and nephews, Mickinley, Brady, Briar, and Piper Blean.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Stephanie Buscher; and aunts and uncles, Thelma “Timmy” Athmer, Jeanette Perkes, Viola “Ollie” Wellen, Marie Albers, Ralph Fuhler, Herman Joseph Fuhler, Jr., Herman Buscher, Regina Wesselmann, John Buscher, Gregory Buscher, and Cyril “Tuffy” Markus.
Mr. Buscher worked for 40 years at Basler Electric in Highland. He was a member of St. Francis Parish in Aviston.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, February 12, 2016 at St. Francis Catholic Church in Aviston with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery in Aviston.
Friends may call from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 12, 2016 at Nordike Funeral Home in Aviston.
Memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 1239 in honor of his father or to St. Francis PSR Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
