Johanna Rosa Mueller, 86, of New Baden, died Monday, March 27, 2017 at Clinton Manor in New Baden. She was born July 21, 1930 in St. Rose, the daughter of Herman and Rosa (Ottensmeier) Mueller.
She is survived by her siblings, Ralph (Norma) Mueller of New Baden, Jerome (Sally) Mueller of Belleville, Mary (Vincent) Hogg of Lebanon, Benedict Mueller of Bethalto, James (Pat) Mueller of Glendale, KY, Larry (Thelma) Mueller of Fairview Heights, Richard Mueller of Nashville, TN, Phillip (Linda) Mueller and Thomas (Karen) Mueller all of New Baden; a sister-in-law, Joanne Mueller of Mascoutah; and she is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, Alfred Mueller, “Tony” Mueller, Benjamin Mueller, and Martin Mueller; and sisters-in-law, Aline Mueller, Rosalie Mueller, Mary Ann Mueller, Rosemary Mueller, and Pearl Mueller.
Ms. Mueller was a nurse’s aide for West Main Nursing Home in Mascoutah and retired from Clinton Manor in New Baden. She was a member of St. George Parish and Altar Sodality in New Baden and the New Baden Senior Citizens. Johanna enjoyed playing cards and table games, and especially enjoyed pecan season.
Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2017 and from 8 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden.
Memorials may be made to St. George Cemetery Fund, St. George Building Fund, or to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
