Joseph Gregory Curry, age 57 of Shattuc, passed away on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in Mt. Vernon, IL. He was born on May 17, 1963 in Burlington, Iowa the son of Mike and Marge (Seitz) Curry. He married Shelley Curry on September 30, 2015 and she survives in Shattuc.
In addition to his mother, father, and wife, he is survived by his children: Miranda Huff and husband Steve, Cole Curry and wife Jil, Cody Curry, Caleb Curry and wife Rachel, and Sophia Curry; step-children: Sydney and Andrew Bochantin; grandchildren: Austin and Tyler Huff, Gavin, Reagan, and Gregory Curry; his sister Polly Miller and husband Mike; and his brother Andy Curry; nieces and nephews: Jacob Seegar, Ty Seegar and wife Zoroya, and Hannah Harre and husband Jordan.
He was preceded in death by his previous wives Sara Curry and Mickey Curry and his brother Patrick Curry.
Joe was a lineman for IBEW and a commercial fisherman. He loved his horses and spending time with his family. Joe was looking forward to retirement in the near future. His favorite past times were being on the river and dancing every chance he got.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Saturday, February 20, 2021 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
There will be a luncheon held at Buxtons in Beckemeyer immediately following the memorial service.
