Joylyn I. Gustin, 86, of New Baden, died Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born November 12, 1932 in New Athens, the daughter of Raymond and Adele, nee Jaeckel, Schoepp and they preceded her in death.
Joylyn is survived by her children, Christie Fortune and Kelly (Mary) Gustin all of New Baden, and Corey (Yasuko) Gustin of Tokyo, Japan; five grandchildren, Sarah (Cornelious) Anderson, Dana (Brent) Trame, Ashley Gustin, Ken Gustin, and Hana Gustin; and four great-grandchildren, Jada, Jamie, Cornelious Jr., and Grant.
Ms. Gustin was retired civil service from Scott Air Force Base. She was a member of Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden, enjoyed traveling and loved all animals.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden with Pastor Martin Springer officiating. Burial will follow at Lake View Memorial Gardens in Fairview Heights.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until time of services on Wednesday, January 23, 2019 at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
Memorials may be made to the Clinton County Humane Society and will be received at the funeral home.
