Katherine L. Hill

Katherine L. "Kathy" Hill, 75, of New Baden, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born on May 27, 1949, in Johnson City, TN, the daughter of Howard and Margaret, nee Boland, Adkins. She married Jim Hill October 3, 1969 in New Castle, AL and he survives in New Baden.

Kathy was a kind and compassionate soul who dedicated her time to helping others. Her love for driving people around and her volunteer work with the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts exemplified her generous spirit and willingness to make a difference in the lives of those around her.

Kathy spent many years with the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary, spending countless hours helping with different events.

In addition to her husband Kathy is survived by her two sons, Jason (Christina) Hill and Jeff (Tiffany) Hill; grandchildren, Jade, Ruby, and Jayson; as well as sisters, Maryanne Talmadge and Penny Hawthorne both of Cairo, GA. 

Kathy's legacy of kindness and service will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends. She leaves behind a treasure trove of memories that will be cherished for years to come. May she rest in peace knowing she touched the lives of many with her warmth and generosity.

Graveside services will be held at 10:15 a.m on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO.

Memorials made in memory of Kathy may be made to the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover St., New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
