Kathryn L. Kueper, age 102 ½ passed away on Saturday, April 16, 2022 at her home surrounded by her loving children. She was born on October 10, 1919 in Sandoval, the daughter of Frank and Rosalia (Caietta) Altadonna. She married Ralph Kueper on August 13, 1941 at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Sandoval and he preceded her in death on July 15, 1955.
In addition to her mother, father, and husband she was preceded in death by her granddaughters: Lisa Kueper, Maria Kueper; her siblings: Anselena Altadonna, Tony Altadonna, Jasper Altadonna, Fronz Altadonna, John Altadonna, Ann Miketta, Joe Altadonna, and Ferva Altadonna.
She is survived by her children: Tom Kueper and wife Ruth of Westfield, IN, Rosie Nehrt and husband Jim of Carlyle, and Paul Kueper and wife Bonnie of Carlyle; grandchildren:, Michael Kueper, Brent Kueper and wife Robyn, DeAnn Harvey and husband Doug, Matt Kueper and wife Kristin, Kristen Fears and husband Mike, Amanda Tucker and husband Chris, Julie Erlinger and husband Kevin, Randy Nehrt and wife Kim, and Brad Nehrt and wife Rayna; sixteen great grandchildren: Cole, Ethan, and Quinn Kueper, Lauren and Douglas Harvey, Dominic and Anthony Erlinger, Corbin, Devyn, Eli, and Owen Nehrt, Kathryn and Adam Kueper, Olivia and Easton Tucker and Elizabeth Fears; and many nieces and nephews.
Kathryn was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church in Carlyle and the St. Ann Altar Sodality. A few of her favorite hobbies included playing cards and Yahtzee, traveling, sitting on her front porch on nice days reading books, and gardening. She loved her family with all of her heart and spent as much time with them as she could, she especially cherished her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, April 23, 2022 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. Interment will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Carlyle.
Visitation will be held on Friday, April 22, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00 PM at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle and on Saturday from 8:00 until 9:3.0 AM at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.
