Audrey F. King, 83, of New Baden, died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Lebanon Care Center in Lebanon. She was born February 9, 1928 in Bronx, NY, daughter of William F. and Mary (Meinhardt) Kenny. She married Richard Phillip King on December 2, 1956 in New York City and he preceded her in death on February 8, 2003. She is survived by a sister, Virginia Drey of Denver, CO; and 3 nieces, Joanne Wing of Arvada, CO., Luanne Reed of Broomfield, CO., & Maryann Standlee of Littleton, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, TSgt. Richard Phillip King, USAF, Retired. Mrs. King was owner/operator of Audrey’s Alterations in New Baden. She was a member of St. George Parish. Memorial Mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 16, 2011 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Memorials may be made to St. George Parish and will be received at the church or Hempen Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is in charge of arrangements.
