Korte, Marilyn

Marilyn I. Korte, 56, of Trenton, died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Belleville. She was born May 3, 1950 in Breese, daughter of Fred W., Jr. and Marcella M. (Hilmes) Korte. She is survived by one son, Jeffrey M. Korte and his special friend Angela Sinkey of New Baden; one daughter, Erin Korte and her fiancé, Josh Totten of Trenton; one grandchild, Trevor Korte; five brothers, Glenn Korte, Jim Korte and wife Judy, Fred R. Korte, Gary Korte and wife Pat and Randy T. Korte; one sister, Darlene Kerchner and husband Steve; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas F. Korte. Marilyn was a homemaker. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m., Monday, December 18, 2006 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden with Rev. Gretchen Sterrett officiating. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion United Church of Christ in New Baden and will be received at the funeral home.
