Mildred M. Kruep, 83, of Breese, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Breese Caring First in Breese. She was born November 29, 1929 in Albers, daughter of Edward and Martha (Stukenberg) Boehm. She married Wilbert J. Kruep on October 21, 1952 in Breese and he preceded her in death on November 22, 1966. Mrs. Kruep is survived by two sons, Kenneth Kruep of Breese and Glen (Geralyn) Kruep of Trenton; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Robert and Margaret Kruep of Salem, Paul and Dora Kruep, Joe Kruep, Agnes and Robert Glaub, and Martha and Paul Richter all of Breese, and Richard (friend, Wilma) Hilmes of St. Louis, MO. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Boehm; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry Jr. and Elizabeth Kruep; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alvin and Dolores Kruep, Florence Kruep, Betty Hilmes, Gertrude Kruep, and Marie Kruep. Mrs. Kruep was a nurses aide at St. Joseph Hospital in Breese for 31 years. She was a member of St. Dominic Parish in Breese and she enjoyed needlepoint, gardening, flowers and trips with her friends. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at St. Dominic Catholic Church with Rev. Patrick Peter officiating. Burial will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2013 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2013 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Hospital Auxiliary in Breese or donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
