Kues, Grace Rita

Grace Rita Kues, 87, of Fort Collins, CO, formerly of Breese, IL, died Wednesday, November 27, 2013. She was born December 30, 1925 in Breese, daughter of Catherine “Kate” (Buehne) and Bernard “Ben” Niemeyer. She married Dan Kues on April 9, 1947 in Breese and he preceded her in death on June 24, 2006. Survivors include a son, Ken Kues, daughter, Dawn (Dave) Kubicek, granddaughter, Danielle, grandson London; sister-in-law, Kathleen Niemyer of St. Louis, MO; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis and a sister, Germaine. Grace worked at Breese SuperValu for 24 years and was a former member of St. Dominic’s Parish in Breese. Grace loved her family and friends very much and loved spending time with all of them. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Breese with Father Patrick Peter officiating. Interment will follow at St. Dominic/St. Augustine Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the church or Hempen Funeral Home in Breese who is in charge of arrangements.
