Lager, Simone

Simone J. Lager, 82, of Breese, Ill., died Tuesday, October 18, 2005 at Countryside Manor Nursing Home, in Aviston, Ill. She was born on January 17, 1923 in Lyon, France, daughter of Adolph and Josephine (Morel) Dufour. She married Thomas A. Lager on July 13, 1946 in Lyon, France and he preceded her in death on June 15, 2002. Surviving are four children, George Lager and wife Marjorie of Corydon, IN, Josette Lager of Los Angeles,CA, Mary Elizabeth “Minnie” Lager of Trenton, Ill. and Philip Lager and wife Sharon of Princeton, TX; four grandchildren, Kamron, Grace, Daniel & Michael; and one sister, Josette Perault of Lyon, France. Mrs. Lager was a homemaker and a member of St. Dominic Parish. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m. October 28, 2005 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese, Ill. with Rev. Patrick Peter officiating. Burial will follow at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, MO. Friends may call on Friday, October 28, 2005 from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Alzheimer’s Research or VNA TIP Hospice and will be received at the funeral home.
