Leona F. Brink

Leona Brink of Posey, Il passed away Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at Carlyle Healthcare Center at the age of 92 years. Leona was born in Posey on August 25, 1922,the daughter of Martin and Ella (Vogel) Brink.
Leona is survived by a sister-in-law: Jean Brink of Posey; nieces and nephews: Bernadine Liefer, Carolyn Fruend and husband Vernon, Carl Hanke and wife Sharon, Gary Brink and wife Diana, Jeanine Brink, Marie Rinehart and husband Rob, Larry Brink and wife Tammy, and Dwayne Brink and wife Roxanne; and many great nieces and great nephews.
Leona was preceded in death by her parents; a sister: Olinda Hanke; brothers: Edwin Brink and Alfred Brink; a nephew: Donald Brink; a niece: Marilyn Hanke; and a nephew-in-law: Myron Liefer.
Ms. Brink was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman where she had taught Sunday school for over 25 years. She was a member of the Ladies Aid and L.W.M.L. both at the local and regional level. Leona had worked as the Clinton County Department of Public Aid Manager for 40 years. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan!
Funeral services for Ms. Brink will be Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman with Pastor Stephen Krenz officiating. The interment will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at the Trinity Lutheran Church in Hoffman Saturday from 9:00 AM until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Hoffman Trinity Lutheran School Scholarship Fund, Christ Our Rock Lutheran High School or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
