Linda Ann Fuehne

Linda Ann Fuehne, 66, of Albers, died Thursday, April 25, 2024, at Barnes Jewish Hospital surrounded by family. She was born September 11, 1957, in Belleville, the daughter of Herman and Janet Rensing. She married Thomas Frank Fuehne on September 20, 1980, in New Baden, IL., and he survives in Albers.

Linda is also survived by her children, Nichole J. (Bryan) Lichtsinn of Columbia and Elyse M. (Christopher) Harpstrite of Trenton; four grandchildren, Harper and Holden Lichtsinn, Colton and Ryker Harpstrite; a brother, Ronald J. (Robin) Rensing, and sister Diane (Roger) Wolf.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Mark Fuehne.

Linda graduated from Wesclin High School in 1975 and spent over 35 years building her career at Nestle Purina. She had a natural ability to connect with others and made countless friends during her career. She then went on to retire, and that is when she was able to begin living her dream life in Southern Illinois. Her love of the outdoors led to her “happy place” during retirement – boating and driving her Ranger exploring their property.

Linda embodied the best of qualities: unconditional love and unending generosity. She had immense passion for her family; her grandchildren were her world. Her departure comes as a great shock and a deep wound, and it is gravely felt by her entire family and countless others who loved her deeply in her wide network of community. Linda will be remembered for her deep love and need to take care of her family and friends, her laugh, and her appreciation for life and all its opportunities. We love you, Linda.

Linda’s life will be celebrated on Sunday, April 28, 2024, from 1:00 to 5:00 PM at Nordike Funeral Home in New Baden.
