Linda Marie Sprehe

Linda Marie Sprehe, age 73 of Carlyle passed away on Tuesday, March 9, 2021 at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in O’Fallon. She was born on January 17, 1948 in Breese, the daughter of Clint and Betty (Ahl) Hammel. She married Stanley Sprehe in August of 1971 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 2020.

In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her mother, father, and step-mother.

Linda is survived by her sons: Eric Sprehe of Keyesport and Tim Sprehe of Carlyle; and her sister-in-law, Lois Sprehe of Carlyle.

Mrs. Sprehe was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle. She worked as a LPN at various nursing homes until her retirement. In her free time she enjoyed crocheting.

A graveside service will be held at 10:30 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Carlyle Township Cemetery. Friends and family attending the funeral service are asked to meet at the cemetery pavilion.

Visitation will be held from 8:00 to 10:15 AM on Saturday, March 13, 2021 at Nordike Funeral Home in Carlyle.

Memorials made in memory of Linda are suggested to the American Lung Association or the American Diabetes Association and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
