Lohman, Pauline

Pauline F. Lohman, 89, of New Baden, died Thursday, July 3, 2008 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. She was born November 6, 1918 in New Baden daughter of William and Anna (Kalmer) Wiegmann. She married Arthur Victor Lohman April 28, 1959 in New Baden and he preceded her in death on March 20, 1983. She is survived by a sister, Marie (Virgil) Hollenkamp of New Baden; two sisters-in-law, Elsie Wiegmann of Trenton and Eleanor Wiegman of Carlyle; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by five brothers, Edward J. Wiegmann, William Wiegmann, Alphonse Wiegman, Raymond Wiegmann and Hubert Wiegmann; a sister, Estella Hollenkamp; sisters-in-law, Leona C. Wiegmann and Frances Wiegmann; and a brother-in-law, Norbert Hollenkamp. Mrs. Lohman was a homemaker. She was a member of St. George Parish and Altar Sodality, the American Legion Post 321 Auxiliary and the New Baden Senior Citizens. She loved playing cards. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Interment will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Monday, July 7, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m., the Senior Citizens will visit at 5 p.m. and the American Legion Auxiliary will visit at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
