Loretta Hilda Rolves of Carlyle died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at the Carlyle Healthcare Center in Carlyle at the age of 94 years. Loretta was born in Posey on September 9, 1918, the daughter of Jake and Flora Etta House Thouvenin.
Loretta married Vince Rolves in Carlyle on October 24, 1946.
Loretta is survived by her husband of 66 years, Vince; a sister: Lillian Diesen of Carlyle; a sister-in-law: Leora Thouvenin of Highland and many nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Rolves was preceded in death by her parents, six brothers: Peter, Walter, Clarence, Jesse, Fred, and Lester “Butch” Thouvenin; Five sisters: Clara Johnson, Myrtle Meier, Mary Koehler, Rosa Camp, and Helen Thouvenin; Brother-in-laws; Albert Johnson, Otto Meier, Melvin Koehler, Harry Lee Otis Camp, Delmar Diesen; Sister-in-laws: Harriet Thouvenin, Ersa Thouvenin, and Elizabeth Thouvenin.
Loretta worked at the Moran Shoe Factory in Carlyle before becoming a full-time housewife. She was a member of St. Mary Church in Carlyle and a member of the Goldsmith-Terry V.F.W. Post 3523 Auxiliary in Carlyle.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, December 21, 2012 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Mary Church in Carlyle with Fr. George Mauck officiating. The interment will follow at St. Mary Cemetery.
Friends may visit with the family at St. Mary Church on Friday from 9 to 11:00 A.M.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to St. Mary Church, Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimer’s Associating or the charity of donor’s choice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
