Louise W. Harris
Louise Harris of Breese, IL died Thursday, November 1, 2012 at the Caring First Nursing Home in Breese at the age of 80 years. She was born in Jamestown, New York on November 29, 1931 the daughter of Lynn and Margaret (Huxter) Arnold. Louise married Gerald "Jerry" Harris at Andrews Air Force Base on October 3, 1953 and he survives in Breese.
Louise is also survived by her daughters: Vickie Rene` Harris of Aviston, Debby Stewart and husband Steve of Clinton, Missouri, and Cathy Zollner and husband Mark of Hecker, Illinois; and her grandchildren: Jeanna, Jacob, Jared, Jeremiah, Sarah and Stephanie.
Louise was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle where she enjoyed helping with the Vacation Bible School program. Louise served in the United States Air Force. She was an avid artist, and when her children were younger she served as a Girl Scout Leader.
Funeral services will be Monday, November 5, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle with Rev. Keith Michaels officiating. The interment will be Monday at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis at 1:45 PM.
Friends may visit with the Harris family at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Sunday from for 2 to 5:00 P.M. or on Monday at the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle from 10 to 10:30 A.M.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association, American Diabetes Association, or to the Autism Society and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
