Mae Jannett Luebbers
Mae Jannett Luebbers of Beckemeyer, IL died Friday, September 2, 2011 at the Caring First Nursing Home in Breese, IL at the age of 90 years. She was born in La Salle County, Illinois, daughter of Charles V. and Sadie (Cummins) Turner. She married George "Monk" Jannett on September 1, 1951 in Beckemeyer and he preceded her in death on April 29, 1993. She later married Vince Luebbers in on February 16, 1999, and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2003.
Mae is survived by a son: Randy Jannett of Fairfax, Virginia; step children: Jackie Gagnon and husband Raymond of Wayne, Michigan and Gerald Jannett of Taylor, Michigan; a sister: Ann Sprehe and husband Dean of Charlotte, North Carolina; and 7 grandchildren.
Mae was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Beckemeyer. Before her retirement she helped her husband in their grocery store, Jannett’s Market, in Beckemeyer
.
Funeral services will be at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle on Thursday, September 8, 2011 a 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Keith Michaels officiating. The interment will follow at McKendree Chapel near Keyesport, Illinois.
Friends may visit with the family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 8:00 P.M. or on Thursday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.
Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the First United Methodist Church in Beckemeyer or to P.A.W.S. at Central High School in Breese.
