Grace L. Mank, 89, of New Baden, died Monday, November 21, 2011 at Clinton Manor Living Center in New Baden. She was born February 21, 1922 in Lebanon, daughter of Frank and Edna (May) Erwin. She married Marcellus Singler on May 14, 1945 in Gulfport, MS and he preceded her in death on November 24, 1958. She then married Albertus L. "Bert" Mank on May 28, 1962 in New Baden and he preceded her in death on June 22, 2005. She is survived by one brother, Clinton Erwin of Trenton and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands and her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Erwin; two sisters, Dorothy Strotheide and Ruth Papproth; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Oletha Erwin, Hazel Erwin, Ralph Papproth, William and Louise Mank, Dorothy and Clifford Dillon and Francella Mank. Mrs. Mank was a homemaker. She was a member of St. George Parish in New Baden. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Msgr. Virgil Mank officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 25, 2011 at the church. Memorials may be made for masses and will be received at the church or Hempen Funeral Home who is in charge of arrangements.
