Marcella C. “Sally” Netemeyer, 94, of Albers, died Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Breese Nursing Home. She was born April 13, 1922 in Germantown, the daughter of George and Emelia, nee Billhartz Robben. She married Louis F. Netemeyer September 14, 1946 in Germantown and he preceded her in death on May 2, 2009.
She is survived by her children, Louis (Sally) Netemeyer, Karen (Maurice “Mo”) Zurliene, Jackie (Lou) Schlaefer, Gerry (John) Rozier, Colleen Netemeyer, and Dale (Julie) Netemeyer; her grandchildren, Eric (Rachel) Netemeyer, Katie Netemeyer, Mark (Sarah) Netemeyer, Craig (Katie) Netemeyer, Chad (Jennifer) Zurliene, Jason (Lori) Zurliene, Daniel Schlaefer, Adam (Stephanie) Rozier, Beth Rozier, and Brianna Netemeyer; 11 great-grandchildren, Emily and Avery Netemeyer, Wyatt and Hank Netemeyer, Connor and Bennett Zurliene, Gavin and Isabel Zurliene, Hannah and Noah Arentsen, and Noah Schlaefer; sisters, Florence Weidner, Mary Ann Bohnenkemper, Eleanor Henken, Emilia (Floyd) Poelker, Rose Herbert, Patty (Frank) Huels, and Theresa Kniepmann; a brother, Francis (Carol) Robben; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Marianette Robben, Edgar Netemeyer, Edith Boehne, and Sandra & Earl Lindeman.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle Schlaefer; two brothers, Vincent Robben and George Robben; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Alice Robben, Cletus Weidner, Fred Bohnenkemper, George Henken, Harold Herbert, Alvin Kniepmann, Florence Netemeyer-Stokes, Margaret Netemeyer, Richard Netemeyer, Wilferd Netemeyer, James Netemeyer, Walter Boehne, Larry Stokes, and Marie Netemeyer.
Mrs. Netemeyer was a homemaker and a member of St. Bernard Parish and Altar Sodality. She enjoyed playing cards, quilting, and gardening.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 5, 2017 at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers with Rev. Anthony Onyango and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery in Albers.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 5, 2017 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Albers.
Memorials may be made to St. Bernard Parish and will be received at the funeral home.
