Margie Doris Wuebbles

Margie Doris Wuebbles, age 93, of Posey, passed away on Wednesday September 21, 2022 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Breese. She was born on February 22, 1929 in Patoka, Illinois the daughter of Vern and Marrie (Cruthers) Cohoon. She married Cletus Wuebbles on June 1, 1948 and he preceded her in death in 2002.

Margie is survived by her children: Steve Wuebbles and wife Paula of Pennsylvania, Brian Wuebbles and wife Lisa of St. Jacob, Eric Wuebbles and wife Bridget of Carlyle, Carol Waeltz of North Carolina, and Diane Rensing and husband Ted of Carlyle; ten grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Carlyle and was a dedicated mother. Margie retired from Hollywood Brands Candy Factory and Wee Walker Shoe Factory. She enjoyed gardening and canning vegetables. She also liked to fish, spend time with her family, going to all the grandchildren’s sporting events and traveling.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Posey Cemetery with Rev. Jason McIntosh officiating.

Memorials made in memory of Margie are suggested to the Clinton County Meals on Wheels program and will be received at Nordike Funeral Home, 740 Fairfax Street, Carlyle, IL 62231.
