Marian Sudholt, 84, of Damiansville, died Wednesday, October 12, 2016 at Aviston Countryside Manor. She was born March 13, 1932 in Damiansville, the daughter of Ed and Marie (Rickhoff) Eilering. She married David B. Sudholt on October 8, 1957 in Damiansville and he preceded her in death on December 29, 2005.
Marian is survived by her children, Kevin (Karen) Sudholt of Albers, and Dale Sudholt, Kurt (Mary Kay) Sudholt, and Kim (Marvin) Gebke all of Damiansville; grandchildren, Alicia Gebke, Kelsey (Aaron) Linnenmann, Andy Sudholt, Amanda Peters, and Emily Peters; two sisters, Alice Gonsalves and Kathy (Robert) Hitpas all of Damiansville; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Floyd & Pat Sudholt, Robert & Marilyn Sudholt, and Lorene Sudholt all of Aviston, Donald & Nettie Sudholt of Trenton, and Elvina & John Gantner of Highland.
In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by a son, David A. Sudholt; a sister, Darlene Eilering in infancy; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Tom & Leola Sudholt, Odelia & Arnold Trame, Ernst Sudholt, Tom Gonsalves, and Betty Sudholt.
Mrs. Sudholt was a member of St. Damian Parish and ladies sodality. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and quilting.
A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 15, 2016 at St. Damian Catholic Church in Damiansville with Rev. William Hitpas, Rev. Anthony Onyango, and Deacon Glenn Netemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at St. Damian Cemetery in Damiansville.
Friends may call Friday, October 14, 2016 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and again on Saturday, October 15, 2016 from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at Nordike Funeral Home in Albers. There will be a prayer service at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
