Mrs. Marie D. Lee

Marie D. Lee of Beckemeyer died Sunday, November 20, 2011 at the Caring First Nursing Home in Breese at the age of 90 years. She was born in Beckemeyer on September 28, 1921 the daughter of George and Daisy (Brown) Jannett. On May 17, 1941 in St. Charles she married Curtis L. Lee and he preceded her in death on September 21, 1973.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a sister: Vivian Hawley; and two brothers: George "Monk" Jannett and Vic Jannett.

Marie is survived by her two daughters: Becky Spain and husband John of Rogers, Arkansas and Beth Fischer and husband Bill of Breese; five grandchildren: Lisa Spain, Mandy Aguilar, Scott Fischer, Shawn Focht and Brad Fischer; and five great grandchildren.

Mrs. Lee was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carlyle. She enjoyed cooking and baking, providing for others.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, November 23, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Bill Pate officiating. The interment will follow at Beckemeyer Cemetery.

Friends may visit with the Lee family at the Frerker Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4 to 8:00 P.M. or on Wednesday from 8:00 A.M. until the time of services.

Expressions of sympathy are suggested to the American Heart Association and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
