Mary T. (Schneider) Crow
Mary T. (Schneider) Crow of Beckemeyer died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at her home at the age of 83 years. Mary was born on a farm 3 miles north of Vergennes, Illinois on June 4, 1930 the daughter of Alfred G. and Catherine T. (Walker) Schneider. On November 17, 1948 at Sacred Heart Church in DuQuoin, Illinois she was united in marriage to Olen L. Crow, son of Millard and Sophie (Hespenheider) Crow. Olen preceded her in death on June 6, 2000.
Mary is survived by 3 sons: Robert Crow and wife Margie of Trenton, John Crow and wife Toni of Aviston and Daniel Crow of Beckemeyer; five daughters: Ladonna Grange of Sun City, Arizona, Vivian Puloka of Beckemeyer, Jeanne Meyers and husband Raymond of Salem, Tina Crow of Beckemeyer and Colette Straeter and husband Andy of St. Rose; 24 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; 1 brother: Philip Schneider of Carlyle; four sisters: Jo White and husband Monroe of Troy, Agnes White of Hoffman, Sr. Edith Schneider P.H.J.C. of Vera Cruz, Mexico and Clara Locher and husband Roger of Sabetha, Kansas; daughter-in-law: Janice Crow of Chester; sister-in-law: Dolores Schneider of Carlyle; and brother-in-law: Odell Crow and wife Doris of Murphysboro.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Crow was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law and mother-in-law; a son: Edward Crow; son-in-law: Sione Puloka; brothers: Adolph "Sonny" Schneider and Alfred T. Schneider; sisters and brothers-in-law: Rose and Jim Szczeblewski, Cathy and Bill Stutz, John H. White and Leo and Barb Crow.
In her retirement years Mary and Olen spent an enjoyable 15 years owning am antique store in Ozora, Missouri.
Mary was a member of St. Anthony Church and St. Ann Sodality.
The Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 2:00 P.M. at St. Anthony Church in Beckemeyer with Fr. and Deacon Bob Lippert officiating. In keeping with Mary’s wishes, her cremains will be buried at a later date.
Friends may visit with the family at St. Anthony Church on Saturday from 1 to 2:00 P.M. A lunch will be served at the Holthaus-Kampwerth American Legion Post 1227 in Beckemeyer immediately follow the mass.
For those that wish to leave a memorial, the family suggests the Heartland Hospice and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle which is serving the family.
