Mary Ann Klinkman

Mary Ann Klinkman, 91, of New Baden, died Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at The Colonnade Senior Living in O’Fallon. She was born March 2, 1926 in New Baden, the daughter of Linus and Anna, nee Baahlmann, Wangler. She married Richard Arthur “Dick” Klinkman October 2, 1948 in New York City, NY and he preceded her in death November 16, 1989.

Mary Ann is survived by her children, Mark Klinkman of Alton, IL, Caroline (Bruce) Zwibelman of St. Louis, MO, and Barbara (Randall) Dale of Belleville, IL; four grandchildren, Jared Dale, Mary Ann (David) Wada, and Emily & Anna Zwibelman; two great-grandchildren, Devin & Vivian Wada; and a sister-in-law, Joanne Wangler.

Mrs. Klinkman was a homemaker; she enjoyed reading and listening to music.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, October 23, 2017 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Gene Neff officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery in New Baden.

Memorials may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimers’ Association and will be received at the church or Nordike Funeral Home, 15 E. Hanover, New Baden, IL 62265 who is serving the family.
