Maue, Dorothy

Dorothy J. Maue, 89, of Beckemeyer, died Thursday, March 11, 2010 at Caring First Nursing Home in Breese. She was born May 30, 1920 in Wheatfield Twp, daughter of Otto and Lillie (Rudolph) Dorries. She married Robert R. Maue April 18, 1945 in Breese and he preceded her in death on March 9, 2009. Mrs. Maue is survived by her brother, Wilbert (Esther) Dorries of Little Prairie; a sister-in-law, Gloria Maue of Trenton; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Dorries. Mrs. Maue was a member of St. John United Church of Christ in Breese, the American Legion Auxiliary Post 1227 in Beckemeyer, Breese Senior Citizens, and the Beckemeyer Development Club. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, March 15, 2010 at Hempen Funeral Home in Breese with Rev. Lisa Hart officiating. Interment will follow at St. John’s Cemetery in Breese. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. John United Church of Christ or to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
