Ruth M. McCamey, 67, of Webster Groves, MO, died Friday, March 17, 2006 at her home. She was born January 25, 1939 in Blue Island, Ill. daughter of Robert & Helen (Peterson) Brauer. She married John Robert Fahy and they later divorced. She married Harold D. McCamey on May 5, 1960 in Woodale, Ill. and he preceded her in death on April 18, 1996. She is survived by a son, Robert Fahy and wife Margaret of Belleville and a daughter, Rhonda Newberry and husband Gilbert of Webster Groves, MO; seven grandchildren, Brandon Kruse, Matthew Kruse, Ryan Kruse and Eric Kruse, Clayton Newberry, Kimberly Pegg and Joshua Weik; four great-grandchildren, Kelssie Weik, Kaylee Pegg, Alyssa Castarena and Caryssa Kenneley; two brothers, David Loren Brauer of Belleville, and Robert Brauer and wife Marilyn of Lake Geneva, Wisc.; and two sisters, Barbara March of New Baden and Helen Hansen of Tennessee. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold Brauer and Richard Brauer. Mrs. McCamey was a former seamstress at the Cotton Patch in New Baden. She was a member of the New Baden United Methodist Church. She was a current member of the church council and was in charge of the church food bank. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 22, 2006 at the New Baden United Methodist Church in New Baden with Pastor Steven Friese officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church of New Baden food bank and will be received either at the chruch or Hempen Funeral Home.
