Michael L. Rose

January 24, 1950 — November 20, 2013

Michael L. Rose of Carlyle passed away Wednesday morning at his home surrounded by his family at the age of 63 years. Mike was born in Millington, Tennessee on January 24, 1950, the son of Floyd B. and Helen L. (Miller) Rose. He married Debbie Kleber at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle on July 7, 1973, and she survives along with two daughters: Shawna Rose of Carlyle and Shelly Kluemke and husband Danny of Bartelso; sibling: Helen L. Masters and husband Ray of Xenia, Ohio, James Rose Sr. and wife Kathy of Carlyle, and William Johnson of Xenia, Ohio; grandchildren: Javen Rose, Cody and Kailey Kluemke; and his mother-in-law: Joyce Kleber of Carlyle.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents and a brother: Steve Rose.

Mike was employed at Crop Production Services in Iuka where he served as office manager. Mike was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle. He served in Viet Nam with the United States Marine Corps. Mike enjoyed old cars and was a member of the AMC Club. His greatest passion was for his family- his wife, children and grandkids.

Funeral services for Mr. Rose will be Friday, November 22, 2013 at 11:00 AM at the Messiah Lutheran Church with Pastor Steve Sommerer officiating. The interment will follow in Carlyle Cemetery. Military services will be accorded at the cemetery.

Friends may visit with the family at the Messiah Lutheran Church in Carlyle on Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of services.

For those wishing to honor Mike with a memorial, the family suggests memorials to the Viet Nam Veterans, Messiah Lutheran Church or Meals On Wheels and those will be received at the Frerker Funeral Home which is serving the family.
