Mildred L. Williams

Mildred L. Williams of Carlyle died Wednesday, December 23, 2009 at her daughter’s home near Iuka. Mildred was born in Washington, Indiana on September 4, 1921 the daughter of Sherman and Ocie (Evans) Bateman. She married Ray G. Williams on October 5, 1940 in Henderson, Kentucky and he preceded her in death on October 7, 1988. Also preceding her in death were her parents; son: Steve Williams; sister: Alleen Miller; and great granddaughter: Avery Humphries.Mildred is survived by her daughters: Susan Erwin of Salem and Pat Erlinger and wife Ron of Albers; sons: Gary Williams and wife Joyce of Braidwood, IL., Randy Williams of Carlyle and Jim Williams and wife Chris of Wilmington, IL.; sisters: Jodi Eaton of Washington, Indiana and Betty Haskins of Odon, Indiana; brothers: Bill Bateman of Washington, Indiana, George Bateman of Greenfield, Indiana and Earl Bateman of Washington, Indiana; 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.Funeral services for Mrs. Williams will be Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Frerker Funeral Home in Carlyle with Rev. Jack Haskins officiating.
