Josephine Elizabeth Molitor, 87, of Aviston, Ill. died Friday, August 19, 2005 at Countryside Manor in Aviston. She was born on November 29, 1917 in Aviston daughter of Henry and Louise (Strake) Kuhl. She married Paul C. Molitor on November 29, 1945 in Aviston and he preceded her in death on December 15, 2001. She is survived by three sons, Urban Molitor and wife Annette of Columbia, Mo., Jim Molitor and wife Ann of Crystal Lake, Ill., and John Molitor and wife Chris of Marine, Ill.; three daughters, Sister Urban Maureen Molitor, SSND of St. Louis, Mo., Paulette Doellman and husband Tony of Athens, Ill., and Mary Jo Milligan and husband Terry of St. Charles, Ill.; a sister, Cecelia Renschen of Aviston; 11 grandchildren, Ralph Doellman and wife Vanessa, John, Elizabeth, Lauretta, Joseph, Marian, and Theodore Doellman , Melissa, and Aaron Molitor, and Matthew Molitor and wife Stacy and Adam Molitor; one great grandson, Xavier Doellman. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Rose Alberternst and Laura Wuest; and six brothers, Frank Kuhl, George Kuhl, Tony Kuhl, Edward Kuhl, Otto Kuhl and Msgr. Urban B. Kuhl. Mrs. Molitor was a homemaker, a seamstress at Lager Store in Aviston; she cleaned St. Francis Church in Aviston and was an employee of State Bank of Aviston. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish and past president and vice president of the Ladies Sodality, former secretary of Aviston Council Catholic Fraternal Life (CK & L of I) and a current member of the Joy of Christ Prayer Group. A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 22, 2005 at 1 p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Aviston, with Rev. Dan Friedman officiating. Burial will follow at St. Francis Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday, August 21, 2005 from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m. and Monday from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Hempen Funeral Home in Aviston. There will be a prayer service at 3 p.m . on Sunday and the rosary will be recited at 7 p. m. by the Joy of Christ Prayer Group on Sunday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Francis of Assisi Church and will be received at the funeral home.
