Eric J. Mollet, 47, of New Baden, IL, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 in Washington Park, IL. He was born June 17, 1961 in Breese, IL son of Robert "Roy" and Edna (Thuenemann) Mollet. Mr. Mollet is survived by his mother, Edna Mollet, a daughter, Emily Rose Mollet and a son, Chris Mollet, all of New Baden; a brother, Brian (Julie) Mollet of Port Orchard, WA; three sisters, Karen (Claude) Knuepfer of North Glenn, CO, Cheryl (Steven) Haar of Aviston, IL and Rhonda Graff of Erie, CO; a sister-in-law, Cindy Mollet of Breese, IL; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, uncles and aunts. He was preceded in death by his father; a brother, Lester Mollet; and a brother-in-law, Randy Graff. Mr. Mollet worked as a meat processor at Behrmann Meat & Processing in Albers, IL. He was a member of St. George Church in New Baden, IL and the New Baden Knights of Columbus Council 10311. He loved attending Emily’s plays, enjoyed fishing, and had a great sense of humor. A Memorial mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at St. George Catholic Church in New Baden with Rev. Eugene Neff officiating. Friends may call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, November 24, 2008 and from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 25, 2008 at Hempen Funeral Home in New Baden, IL. The Knights of Columbus will visit at 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice and will be received at the funeral home.
